When you feel pressure, the answer is NO. Any time you feel pressure to do anything, you are agreeing for the wrong reason. You always reserve the right to say NO, even if it disappoints the other person. Pressure means that you are probably agreeing to something you wouldn’t normally choose to do, or wouldn’t normally choose to do under the present circumstances. You deserve the time you need to be confident in your response to other people. While you practice getting to NO, try responding with a need for time to think about it.
